hrmm well... i don't see it getting too much more than 30 fps even optimized... iwouldnt be surprised if you need sli to max out that game, or crossfire at that.... i would say to wait out for g80 or r600 for that one.. then you'll get a for sure full quality

It's still too early to know what will or will not "max out" crysis. they still havn't gone through the optimization stage of the game so maybe even a 7800 gtx can max out the game at a steady frame rate(in directx 9 of course). Also the x1900xtx, as beedubaya said, was used at e3 so at least we know it can run it maxed out and maybe even get a better average than 30 fps after the game is optimized.

The 7800GTX is the minimum recommended card so I would assume that it should fare well at medium settings at 1024x768 resolution. Of course it could be higher if the game is well optimized.

The E3 demo on the X1900XTX was running at 1280x1024 with DX10 emulation.

G80 comes out next month and the R600 should follow up in November/December. Those for sure will max the game out in DX9/DX10.

Definatlly wait for the R600 if your going to buy new vid card soon.

First off those aren't out yet, and by the time the average joe can get one the G80 is going to be out with the R600 on it's tail.
