Im sorry if this topic is in the wrong section, i think this is hardware related.
Ok, so the problem is i can run 1280x1024 on windows but as soon as i run any game the resolution is somewhere around 800x600 but it shows that its 1280x1024 and no matter what resolution i set it to the game thinks it's running on it but it's really running on 800x600, or lower, in fact. The funny part is, everything worked ok before i reinstaled windows when i upgraded my system - but when i reinstaled it this problem arose - and i don't have a clue as to what the problem could be. I instaled up to date video drivers but the motherboard (ECS Elitegroup 945G-M3) drivers are confusing me cos' there's three versions of it I don't know which to instal.
So windows runs high all the time, but no game will - is it directX? Help!
