26" widescreen as a monitor???

It'll work, but it won't look as sharp as a regular monitor. 1366 x 768 native resolution is great for a 17" widescreen, but not for a 26" widescreen.

I doubt that it'll be a bother, though.

thanks for the response. i am just looking for something bigger to look at in my dorm when my eyes get tired of my laptop as well as a monitor to use as a TV.

Do stores allow you to check out the resolution on a PC before you purchase it?

thanks!

I found the resolution on the page you linked to.

Checking out the specs online before you buy is always the smartest way to shop.

oh of course :)

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience using a TV with that res. as a pc monitor.

i wish i had money to just buy stuff without researching it.

I wish I ghad the money for one. 26" is perfect ize for a PC monitor as it fills up your whole eye sight.

The res is spot on for a 19" wide screen, but any more and the image (as said) will not be very sharp.

the only reason i will have money is because i am staying an extra week at my summer job. i am pretty sick of southern PA and this is gonna be my little present to myself for not killing anyone here... like my roommate.

thanks for the reply!
