file sync (no compare!)

I am trying to back up my mp3 collection to a couple of different drives.

I want to keep all the drives in sync.

Found lots of backup programs, but they all seem to compare the individual files, this takes forever! The .mp3's are not going to be edited, the file contents is absolutely (barring a virus or something) never going to change.

Is there a file sync program that simply looks at what files are where, but does no comparison of the versions of the files?

You could write a batch file which you would need to run manually, takes a bit of time but if that's what you're after we can help you write one.

With my limited exposure to batch files, I wasn't aware that it could do something like this.

How sophisticated could it be, could it account for the following changes in the source directory when updating the target directory:

- File and Directory addition (obviously yes right!?)
- File and Directory deletion
- Moving files / directories
