Question. IF i use NTFS quick erase option with verify after each round, 2 rounds, does that mean it writes over with ones and zeros? Because i've used many programs, Stellar, recover my files, zero asumption disk(wich is supposed to be the best), and runtime sofware, even various free-ware programs. Im beginning to think because im still running xp off of the drive and because i used Dbans quick erase WITH verify that my poor pictures are gone for good.. Any Help?!

Anything with the word "quick" in it will not compleletely erase data from your hard drive.
It could be that the files you are looking for overwrote what you are trying to find. When you delete something it will stay on your hard drive until it is overwritten. Therefor the best thing to do is stop downloading and everything until you can use a file recovery app.
In the case that you didnt partition your drive and this is the only one you have. Then you are gonna run into this problem where the stuff you are trying to use actually wrote over the stuff you are trying to find.
