I know this is a really lame question but which card setup is better? I'm building a budget PC $1500 or less so I cant buy the latest hardware. The benchmarks I've reviewed so far show that the 7600gt in Sli is close to a single x1900xt. I want the most bang for my buck. The increased pixel shaders (48) in the x1900xt sounds like it will handle future games better (Crysis). From what I've heard the x1900xt is better than the 7800 and 7900 nvidia series in non SLi. I can only spend roughly $300-$350 on a vidio card. If yoy have any sugestions for my rig I'd love to here them. I still need to pick out a mobo, power supply, case, ect.

Here are some helpful benchmarking links:

Thanks in advance.

I would say the 7900GT, but only because I have a similar card and have experienced it first hand :p

Well, since this is the 512 MB overclocked edition, do you think it will run all of the latest games with all max settings, at least 1024 x 768 resolution?

OFC :p I have almost the same card, bar mine has slightly better quality memory, and it runs everything deliciously fluid at 1280x1024, let alone 1024x768 :), mind you it depends on the rest of your rig.

All of that comes up to exactly $1,430.57 After all taxes, savings, and shipping costs.

Also, about the RAM: I know that I should have at least 2GB's, but I am adding a 512 stick from this PC, and possibly another one if I have teh money, then I'll have 2 GB.

Mmmkay your rig will eat-up nearly every game out there :) good luck with it!

You'd be better off with 2x DDR sticks exactly the same, mixing and matching generally doesn't work out too good :(
