I am going to purchase an LCD in the near future, my other is old. Was wondering though.....what should I look for in an LCD that will have the best affect for gaming and have no ghosting. I would like to buy one for a good price, no crazy amounts like under $300 but prefer even lower.

Basicly what specs should I look for on an LCD to get the best display for gaming?

4ms and under
1:700 brightness
19 inch = 1280x1024 resolution
and a good warranty i would go with LG or Samsung

Disagree, anything under 10/8ms is fine IMO.

And also don't buy a 19" with a 1280x1024 res, the images tend to look worse, I would either go for a smaller monitor with a 1280x1024 res, or a larger one with a higher resolution.

Mine is super crisp. Can't say I've experienced what you said above. My other monitor was a 20" Dell LCD with a 1600x1200 native res and this is just as clear as that one was.

U need to decide if you want widescreen or not...LCDs have improved so much in the last year...even the cheaper ones work great.

You want at least 19", lower than 8ms response time and as high as possible contrast ratio ..ie 700:1 or more, big viewing angles and a dvi (digital connection).
