Recovered file doesn't open

Hello,
I recovered a MPEG file which was deleted with the help of pc inspector , every thing went fine the size of the file was the same as original file. When I tried to play this file on the media players (i used five different players) it didnt work and the message was "unable to recognise the format of the file". I hope i will get some help here.

If you use file recovery software like that it will recover it in a program specific format that you will have to pay them to get it to a "Normal" format. They got ya!

What file format is it saved in now? or don't you know. I foyu do know you could try Googling for a converter so you could convert it back to an MPEG. If not Flashdude hit the nail on the head I'm afraid.
