disc drive problem

lately my disc drives haven't been working, like i put the disc in and the computer dusn recognize it. i tried updating drivers but cant... i tried uninstalling and installing again but it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" i dont know what to do, i recently tried unplugging and replugging the drives and it didn help. in device manager there are yellow exclamtion points..pls help!

The problem is more than likely with chipset ide controller drivers. There are no drivers (the way you are thinking) for drives the "Firmware" is directly on the logic board of the drive. What make and model number is the PC and/or the Motherboard. what do you have the jumpers set to? If they are Cable Select then switch them to master and slave.
 
ah theyr fixed...was something about my itunes, i think they were blocking them out =\ thx anywayzz
