No, that's not how you test stability.

Download Prime95. Go to Torture Tests -> In-place Large FFT (or something similar, I haven't used it for a bit). Let it run for 10 - 12 hours, or longer if you like. After about 10 minutes or so, check your CPU temps with EVEREST or similar. If the temps get over 55*C, then I would recommend lowering the FSB until you can get adequate cooling.

If Prime95 fails or has ANY errors, then something is not stable. You can try upping the voltage by the smallest incriment available, and then running Prime95 again. Make sure to check your temps again.

That is a good indication of stability, and good enough for testing while you are still trying to go higher. But when you get to where you want to run 24/7, I would still recommend 10hrs of dual prime. Prime will find instabilities that PI will not.

Okay for some reason Prime95 fails on me even at stock everything. I can do 32m SuperPI just fine but Prime95 fails after like an hour. This isn't on my E6600 BTW, it's on my X2 3800+. Any ideas?

You guys are probably going to beat me with a stick but general, can you overload a cpu and give it too much information to handle.
