its only 8 months old and still has 4 months warrenty left. also has been upgraded to a gig ram.

Brand new back then is different to brand new right now

I would guestimate around $500.00 as it is now

Mostly for some of the peripherals (monitor, MX3000, etc.)

One of the major contributing factors to depreciation is current hardware technology.

According to Moore's Law processors' complexity doubles every 18-24 months. What this boils down to is faster hardware w/ less power consumption and less heat emmision.

Because the technology advances so quickly, our PC's and Rigs lose value quickly.

Yeah.... it's a bummer.
