Caseless PC?

Would it be safe to go caseless for a short period of time?

like, have all my components hooked up but no in a case, just have the motherboard sitting on its mounts on my wooden desk lol

Yea, it's safe. A few years ago I saw a guy mount one on a thin board, put a picture frame around it, and hang it on the wall.

i decided to switch cases, since watercooling will be in my pretty near future (once i get the money) i dont be needing ll these case fans. but i might have to sell my case then save a little before i can get the one i want.

My server has been running for about 2 years without a case! I took it down becuase the noise at night was just too much. Be careful with the way you switch it on, as there is no switch (unless its a DFI) I used to use a screwdriver and touch the 2 connections, but try and get a switch for it!
