Does anybody know when the geforce 8000 is coming out?

Who knows. They have been relatively silent about the whole thing. Since they are releasing another 7900 series refresh, I would think that it will still be a while. If we see it before year end, we will be lucky. Most likely, it will hit next year after the release of Vista.

The way everything good this year has seemed to have been delayed (Vista, UT2007, Crysis), i would only think that this will be delayed too.

Will direct x 10 be on only the new high end cards coming out, 8000 and the next ATI card(x2000?) or will they release DX 10 versions of the lower to medium end cards for those of us who can't afford a 500 dollar card and a possible 400 for vista.

Yes they will release lower and med end DX10 cards.

hmm, now it's almost tempting to wait on DX 10. When is it sceduled to be released on cards? Im not waiting past early November.
