Its that time again. But Im having a hard time however deciding on what to buy.
Is a really high end nvidia 6800 with say 512 ram better or worse than a 7800 with 256 ram? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently considering this 7800 model

Iv never heard of "Diablotek" before, are they a good company?

I am currently running an ASUS A8V mobo////AMD Athlon 3500+ 64 bit cpu//// 1 gb ram(2x 512)////2 hard drives 200 gb and 80 gb and the card to be a replaced, an Nvidia Chaintech 6600gt 128 mb video card with a surepower 550w psu
WIndows xp pro of course

6800 cards are way outdated, and if you know anything about video cards you know there is more to it than how much RAM. The 7800 series is not terribly outdated, but is starting to show signs of age. If you must buy now, the ATI X1900XT series would be your best bet. The absolute best bang for the buck.

^He's AGP...

def go with the first one...also add another GB of system ram, youll notice the difference...

Dont worry about the 512 rating...
