RAID 0 or NOT ?? HELP!!!!
here are my specs
Mobo: GIGABYTE K8N Pro-SLI ( NVIDIA nForce 4 SLI )
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ Venice 939
Memory: Dual Channel PC3200 2048MB (2 x 1024MB)
Good!!!
HD: 120 GB Seagate 7200 RPM
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT 512MB DDR3 !!!
OS: XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
And now I have 2 new 160Gb Seagate ST3160811AS Barracuda 7200.9 SATA drives.
and I bought them thinking on making an array (RAID 0 Stripping), but i've been looking around, and the performance boost is not as good. And heard a lot of the data lost on RAID 0, and don't know if implemented on my PC.
my Question is if It would be better to set the drives separetly and install OS on ONE and the other STORAGE, or making the array and install everything on it (RAID 0)???
What would you sugest to do??
