I am currently building my first PC for gaming (nothing fancy) and am hoping to learn a lot from this build. I need suggestions, opinions, and ideas. Everything helps a lot and will be appreciated.
My current Build:
- Rosewill R604TBLK-N Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Dual fan ATX2.01Power Supply with 20+4 pin main connector and air filter
- Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
- MSI NX7900GT-VT2D256E-HD Geforce 7900GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Windsor 2000MHz HT 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Dual Core Processor
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3120813AS 120GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
- LITE-ON Black 16X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 16X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 5X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2M Cache ATAPI/E-IDE DVD Burner W/ LightScribe
- MASSCOOL WhisperRock II 5F263B1M3 80mm Ball Cooling Fan/Heatsink
I am kind of hesitant on the motherboard I picked out, I am not sure if it can support my processor. I am not looking to go over the $700 mark.
Thank you all very much for the reply’s in advance.
