Napster and IF06, please do not double post any more. You have a button under your name on the left side of your post that says "Edit," and you can use it on your own posts. Please use it.

Anyway, if you're going to go with an nVidia core (ie. 6XXX/7XXX GT/GTX/GT KO/Ultra), go with EVGA, or if you have to, XFX. EVGA is the best for nVidia chips.

But what's your view on the card napster suggeted?

Ok, what's your view on this?

Yah, I looked up to the EVGA brand that's why this is the only one and iit's in my budget.

I searched up newegg and came up with this one as well.

I'm just wondering since it said 400 minimum wattage...**** I only have 350, so close to. I'll just have it sit around on my desk while i upgrade.

Here's other stuff I found.

i was looking into that 6800xt you have picked out there. But im gonna go with this card instead

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814131429

it isn't 512mb of memory, but it beats the 6800xt everywhere else. It has the same 256 bit interface, more pixel pipelines, and way higher core clock speeds ans memory clock speeds. And it's actually under your budget so you can save some cash. Im getting the only AM2 crossfire ready motherboard on newegg right now to use with this card, and it's cheaper than the sli MoBo i had picked out. This is a pretty good card especially for the price, and it has the option of later upgading to a crossfire situation for enhaced performance.

oh and just so you know the picture on new egg is off the BRAVO edition, which isn't what your buying there, it's just the xt. Everything else listed is right, but for some reason new egg has the wrong picture. This really threw me for a loop when i went the ATI's site to look up this card.

Oh and will an antec smart power be just as reliable as a true power?

I got a question, iwas at a site....and they said:

DVI port to a VGA lcd < VGA port to VGA lcd

in quality.

But I thought that dvi gives out a clearer signal, which would slightly increase quality if the lcd receives signal from the dvi port

DVI does give a better signal, because its full digital, but you have to have a DVI monitor, and even if you had one you couldnt tell a significant difference unless you were running resolutions up in the 2000s.
