I Interpol Beta member Messages 1 Aug 15, 2006 #1 hey I have a emachines T2682. When I turn it on, the fan spins but nothing shows up on the monitor. I have tested the monitor and it is in working condition. The computer however, is not. Any ideas? Thanks

First is it Onboard video or video card? Second have you tried an AGP video card or PCi video card in the emachine and see fi the monitor responds to that. it is most likely a video card problem.

Alvin.C Fully Optimized Messages 2,581 Location London Aug 15, 2006 #3 Hello, Try clearing your BIOS CMOS by removing the lithium battery on the motherboard for a minute or two, then placing it back. Also, if you have a graphics card, you could test it in another PC if you have one available.
