Can RAM be Fried after ESD?

if there are heatsync plates on the ram its less likley but they are very likley to be fried by ESD too. any component in the system besides mabey the harddrive is and even that can be

RAM is arguably the most vulnerable component to ESD, as to how common it is or how likely I don't know. But you should be pretty safe if you earth your self pefore handling the modules and don't walk around the room with them outside a antistatic bag and don't pass them to someone else outside a antistatic bag! handle by the edges.

ESD yes any component can be fried by ESD once again thats why its so important to ground yourself or invest in an antistatic wrist band.

wat i meant is,
if u put a defective ram that was damaged by ESD will it kill a new mobo when its inserted!!!!!!!!

i highly doubt it will damage any other equipment. i don't quite understand the damage ESD does but i can't see it causing any damage that could do that

ESD (Eletrostatic Discharge) ones that runs through ur system somthing is fried

you cant ruine a motherboard with a fried chip but then again why would you put a fried chip in the motherboard ? just be sure you have the ram stick and you grounded to the pc.

low on bugget because i wasted over 5 bills on this thing. dont feel lik buying another new RAM
