To save some money, i might be getting a saphire 1900xtx vid card instead, i just want to be able to play the latest games at 1028X800

Looks good, but why not go for the AM2...the 939 is old now. Get AM2 for future upgradability.

I got that proc to save money right now, but with that mobo later on i can upgrade to a dual core.

you could buy everything for same price just AM2, the prices of CPUs are equivlant at the moment [thanks to AMD's price cuts ;) ]

Just the RAM might be a little bit more cash but its almost the same, go AM2.

I don't get it. Why on earth would you pair a system like that with an Athlon 64 3200+? At least get a 3700+ (still below $100), and I'd suggest moving up to a X2 3800+. Or waiting until lower-end Conroe's are in stock.

I dunno. This isn't a great time to be buying a computer; you might find yourself doing some head bashing if you don't wait a couple months.

Dan

If all you care about is playing games at 1024x768, go with a lower end card, like the 7900GT. Its much cheaper than the 7950GX2 or the ATI card and ill do fine at your resolution. These high end cards are for people who demand high resolutions with high settings.
