Okay so I'm going to be moving into a new house soon, and it has a built-in media center thing. I don't have the exact measurments, but basically there is a rectangular area set back in the wall, with holes for cables and stuff. Anyway, I want to get an HDTV for it, because I'm tired of missing out on new technology just because of my beliefs on piracy protection/encryption of media blah blah blah and my regular TV won't fit in it, its too deep. :(

Anyway, I was looking at LCD HDTVs and I realized that almost NONE of the LCD's are 1940x1080. They are like 1366x876 or something, I mean come on! How can they market 1080p resolutions, but sell TV's that don't support it!

Yeah so I think I want a Samsung (fix me if I don't want one ;)) and I think I want a DLP.

Post your links here of good deals / extremely high quality HDTVs, no bigger than 56" that DOES support 1940x1080 and has a built-in tuner (unless built-in tuners are like onboard sound cards and suck, ? )

Teach me!

BTW, thought I posted this elsewhere, move it if you want.

That's a POS. Sceptre? Guaranteed to be DOA or have like 4 dead pixels.

And theres no reason to have those wings on the side.

I hate this TV.

:p

Edit: The second one looks okay, but I'm still not sure about Sceptre. lol

How about Vizio 37"? I have it now... And you can get for like ~1000$

You have costco or sam's near by?
