What would be the best way to lower my CPU/Mobo temp?

My motherboard (Asus A8M-VM) gets pretty hot easily and my stock AMD CPU fan spins out of control (6000rpm when gaming and thats not even at full load) so I think I need to do some case cooling. I also want to lower my CPU temps (Athlon 64 3800+ Venice 939). Which of these products would be most effective in achieving this? Would I maybe need both?

Thanks.

The Zalman CNPS9500 is awesome. It keeps my OC'd x2 3800 below 48C with a full load, such as Prime95, Folding@Home and 3dMark06.

All games on max settings, except F.E.A.R. and HL2:E1 (that I run at almost max and max settings respectively) run around 44C. F.E.A.R. and HL2:E1 run at 48C.

Idle at the Desktop = 37C

Make sure that you have adequate intake and exhaust.

I decided against using the CoolnQuiet app provided by ASUS, I found it to be quirky and troublesome, and went with an AeroCool so that I have a reliable Auto setting and a Gaming setting.

That Vantec setup is kinda cool, but perhaps a little overkill.... hmmmm, maybe I'll get one to mess around with.

Almost forgot... The CNPS9500 Blows parallel to the MoBo so it can be directed inline with the rear exhaust, or can be rotated so that it pushes toward a blowhole if you have one.... a really nice touch.
