Windows XP Reinstall Question

I have two OEM copies of Windows XP. I need to reinstall Windows on the older system (which came with SP 1) but I was wondering if it would be okay to use the new disc to reinstall windows since it's SP 2. I have all activation keys. Mostly asking because this will save a little bit of time with the reinstall.
