Can't Boot Computer with Linux

I downloaded a Linux 5 Boot DVD and have been unable to make my computer recognize it on boot. I have tried hitting enter and c on boot up, but it always just takes me to Windows. Any suggestions?

Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD/DVD before your Hard drive. When your computer starts up, press F10 to get into your BIOS(The key may be different on your machine. If F10 doesn't work, try Del). Look for a menu called Boot Sequence, and configure your first boot device to your DVD drive, and your second to your HDD

i tried that but it still won't boot from the dvd
