I would change a couple of things...

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ - 147.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103562

Recertified: eVGA 256-P2-N560-RX Geforce 7900GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 - 202.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130049

I wouldn't get the 64 bit Windows yet... still having some driver issues with 3rd party software/hardware.

The PC Cillin to me is a waste... the Freeware AntiVir/Spybot/etc do the same thing and it's free... but pretty much everything else is good.

Hmm.

First I would get an AM2 motherboard and cpu, they are the same price, and a 2gb of DDR2 667 or 800[whatever you can affored]

about the case, I'd suggest something from this list:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...295819209+1055007958&Submit=ENE&Subcategory=7

They come with no PSU so the manufacturer mainly concentrated the budget on the case's quality and not other stuff like PSU's, since you're getting one anyway.. and Furthermore I'd suggest you get one that is made of Aluminum and has 1 intake and 1 exauhst fan [or more], but thats up to your choice.

The x1800xt is a good card. I have a x1800gto flashed to a xt and I've had nothing but good results.

thanx guys for the advice. I really appreciate it :)
I changed a couple things-

motherboard
Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

video card-
eVGA 512-P2-N568-AR Geforce 7900GT KO 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail

cpu
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Orleans 2000MHz HT Socket AM2 Processor Model ADA3800CNBOX - Retail

ram-
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400 - Retail

(I know a bunch of noob questions)
What do you think? Should I stick with the 512MB video card or do you think a 256MB video card will be sufficient? Also, my psu's main connector is a 20+4-Pin and my mobo's power pin is 24. Will that cause problems? Will using one video card on an sli mobo cause problems?

Plz give me your input asap. Im ordering the parts tomorrow!

at this point in time 512mb on a GPU is overrated... it won't get used for simple gaming. Most games will not use that much. Maybe Oblivion, but that's about it. (I think, but I am no means an expert) I'd say drop down to 256 and save a little money. Just my 2 cents.

NO worries about the PSU. it will have the connecotrs you need.

Using one card on an SLI board will not cause any problems.
