Hardware problem

my motherboard is 82810
it's ps\2 connector is damaged so i cannot use my optical mouse
now i am using serial port mouse
is there any method to bring optical mouse back into use
i have only one ps\2 port
my USB is also not working

Did you try another ps/2 mouse? Your optical mouse could be no good. Do you have usb? then you can get a usb to ps/2 connector.

How tech-savy or inclined are you? Perhaps you could scrounge another PS2 port and rplace the one that is damaged?

I see that your USB port is no functioning also, is the damage physical, or is it something software-related.

I screwed up my USB ports something aweful, but re-installing the MoBo software took care of it.
