so i have a ga7n400L gigabyte motherboard and a 1 gigabyte crucial ballistix pc4000 ram i bought at newegg. i was wondering how to change the timing on it bc whenever i play video games (cs source), it crashes. i know its the timing on the ram bc i tried my other ram it works perfectly fine. im wondering how and what to set the timing to. please give a fast and accurate response.
thankss

you change the timing in the bios, when you done changing it and it boots to window, use memtest to test for any errors. you said when you changed some value and system crashed, it happens because you changed too much.

i never said i changed some value. the ram is on stock timing right now. basically i just need to know what timing to set it on. does anyone atleast know where i can go to find the information?

check your motherboard book or visit the motherboard makers site also make sure the ram is at equal to or greater than the speed of the motherboard :)
