those are good builds.. i just made a build for someone and thought its pretty good, your budget is a bit higher so you can probably upgrade the mobo to an SLI one and change the gpu to 2 7900gts as you have up there.. or make any mod you want...or you could just leave it as is.. just giving you options..consider it!

Not much choice for AM2 yet.

I'd go with the stock cooler and then upgrade later if you need it.
