So I had asked here a while ago for help about building a custom computer. I thought about it and decided rather than taking someones suggestion blindly, I would try it myself... So this is what I have so far. I intend to use it for moderate gaming but i plan getting a little heavier into gaming, surfing the net/multitasking. Please tell me if everything is compatible/decent parts/will run smoothly together. Is it upgradeable? If its not, could you please suggest what would work? Also, if there are any parts that are the same thing that I have listed but are cheaper, could you please let me know that too?

I have no idea how to go about deciding on a power supply, so suggestions are welcome. I know I left out optics drives and a case, but I can decide on those later. This is just like the core stuff that I decided on.

those are all good parts, im assuming that you have a copy of windows xp or something. i dont know much about power supplies but i think that another thread has a couple suggestions. good luck.

Ste, would you reccomend any changes? Will that system be good for general multitasking and a good amount of gaming? Is it upgradeable for later on? I've also heard of parts being compatible in that they will fit together and work, but sometimes they don't work to their full capability together. Will these?

For sound card, I wasn't planning on getting one. The reviews of the mobo said that the onboard sound is pretty good.

Edit: I'll post my case and monitor choices and all that in a little bit.

Its perfectly Fine, You don't need to make any changes unless you want to overclock.

May I ask what Case youll be using and how many fans?

OK, so here is the rest of it...

I have a mouse and a keyboard and speakers.

Case- Ideally, I would love to be able to get a case that Voodoo computers use. They look really good, but I can't find them anywhere. If I can't get that, this is the one I will get...

As for overclocking. Is this system not overcloackable? I want to do it. I don't wanna like take it to the max, but I would like to overclock it some.

Edit: Will it be able to play most any game? Even Oblivion?
