monitor problem

i have a flat screen monitor and when my computer is shut off it flashes green blue and red screens. Each color flashes for about 3 seconds and then changes to the next. You can not turn the power off by pushing the button, only by unplugging it. I have changed the video card on the computer and this does not help. i have looked around in the settings on the monitor and could not find anything.

I would think nothing of it but the fact that it wont shut off using the power button is troubling. Maybe its time to RMA the monitor.
