Nah, a 2.6gHZ AMD like the 5000+ would HAVE been equal to a 5.0gHZ Intel in terms of GAMING performance. You just take the name of the AMDs and use the numbers as mHZ of an Intel processor it would be equal to. So...the X2 3800+ would have been around a 3.7gHZ Intel.

Not that it matters with Intel whipping AMD's sorry *** right now. :p
 
hahaha ya the new Intel Core 2 Duo is destorying AMD they even stated they have no response to the new processor atleast in 2006
 
Cool, you'd better hope AMD comes out with something to beat C2D's. People seem to think that AMD is going to stop making processors and focus on video cards now that they asshimilated ATi, but they are grossly mistaken. If AMD stops making processors, you can expect 120% markup and CPU's and less improvement in performance in the future.
