DVD Burner issues

the other day i was burning a DVD fine and then i got a new motherboard so i had to reinstall windows and now it is saying that my blank dvds are lank cds, whats up with this? does anyone know how to fix it?

are you using windows or another program when you get the error ? what type of chip set is on the mainboard and did you install the chipset drivers ?

i inserted the cd and the windows popup says it is a blank cd in a cd drive, i know it allows dvds as i have been watching some since reinstalling

[EDIT] I am using Nero after inserting discs [EDIT]

all chipset drivers are installed, first thing i do when i reinstall windows

it just started working for no reason at all, i edited my previous post, tried again and it still says they are blank cds but nero can now burn on them so im happy
