USB Flash Drives & Portable Media

I've never needed anything other than 3.5 disks, but now I'm gonna be moving files daily from my home PC to a school PC (grad student stuff, mostly Word files). What is the best method of storage and transport regarding convenience and protection of my data (this will be important stuff, to me at least!). Should I get a small USB flash drive? Are they reliable? Any recommended brands? Thanks.

Any one of those will do you fine. I have run mine through the washer several times and it still works. They are faster, easier, smaller and more convenient then floppy disks. Not to mention that they hold like 1500x more than a floppy disk.

Do you have an IPOD? If so you can segment off an amount you want to store files on. They are very reliable, But nothing is perfect. If you keep the original at school and the one with the changes made to it at home you always have a back up anyway.
