Graphics card upgrade

well since they're the same card, benchmarks will show that they're exactly the same.. unless they're clocked differently.. so check the clock speeds.. if eVGA is faster, then its better! (and hence xfx is worse). if you want to prove to your dad that xfx is generally a worse build than the eVGA, then search for some xfx horror stories... every brand has them, but you only want the xfx ones.. hehe.. gl

wait a second!!!

Does the evga need the 4 molex connector?

If not i will be getting that...

I used the evga 7600 GT CO (580/1500) for awhile. It does not require it's own power dongle. It was stable with a 8% core OC, and played games beautifully.

3Dmark06: SM2 = 1482; HDR/SM3 = 1362 (GPU @ 623/1666)

F.E.A.R. at Med/High settings, max res = 42FPS

The scores above were with the CPU in my sig.

Great card, in my opinion you can't go wrong.

ok so i know that the evga card is better than this one.

I just want to know if this would be good for gaming...

I only play counter strike source, command and conquer generals .ect

the 7600gt will handle those games no problem. (depending on resolution/detail you play them at..)
