Hi,

I own this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131527

I also own a 10,000 RPM Raptor and a Maxtor One Touch II external hard drive. I just installed my external hard drive today and restarted my system and I got an error saying it couldn't boot. I look at the boot priorities in the BIOS and it has my external hard drive as the drive being boot off of, instead of my Raptor, which it is supposed to be. I couldn't even select my Raptor to boot off of. I had to first turn off my external hard drive, then boot up Windows, and then turn on my external hard drive. I don't want to have to do this everytime. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? If you look at people's reviews for this motherboard you can see they have the same issue. One guy's computer tried to boot off of an ipod. However, I can not find a solution.

Thanks,
Ted
