I want to build a new computer my old pc is dying slowly (see sig). My budget is around 800$. I dont play games alot and would use the pc more for multimedia, and i can buy something cheap that is better then my old but i want this bad boy to last me for atleast another 3-4 years. Should this be intel or amd ?

get a X2 or a new core 2 duo. the new intel will prolly beat anything amd has on the market so i would go with that. either way go dual core. get at least a 250gig hd. a gfx card wouldnt hurt either. gig of memory. and since you are into multimedia, a sound card wouldnt be a bad idea too. good luck

728.00 before shipping... you would of course need to use the keyboard/mouse/monitor you have...

Would this be upgradeable in the future? I think all of those parts are compatible right ?, can someone enlighten me?
