Hey guys,

Ive just come across and old P3 system and i want to install windows XP on it.

I chucked in a 200GB drive i had in to the PC. Booted windows XP disc, but whenever i pass the first stage of windows (partitioning and loading the install files) after it reboots it says "Could not load operating system".

I have a feeling its something to do with the Bios only showing the drive as 136GB.

What can i do to make windows install?

Maybe your motherboard does not support drives over 137gb. try installing a PCI IDE card with 48 bit LBA compatibility. that should fix the 137gb limit. because if your running a P3 the board has got to be quite old.

I found a solution on the seagate website, they had a little tool that worked.

Thanks for your help.
