So any idea how to fix it? If I can't I might as well format..

should work without format.....do u have a spare hdd lying around? if u do, install windows on it, and see if the card shows, if not, then its either mobo, or sound card problem...but if ya dont have to format, then dont, just use another hdd and save time and dont loose ur files...but atleast ur pc is running...u got onboard audio, so if after everything is tried, u can always use that...

Nope dont have another hdd... **** I really need to fix this. But do you think formatting would fix it? I won't format yet, but you think it would?
