What is better?

Looking to purchase a couple new cards for two systems I have. Trying to keep it low on price and I was looking to stay with Nvidia. The two I was looking at on newegg were the following:

For those that don't wanna click the link, its a eVGA 7600GS 256MB and a XFX 6800XT 265MB GGR3.

Which one is better? The 6800 has a mailin rebate that makes it a little less expensive, but all I care about is staying around the $150 range. If there is something else that would be even better, than great, let me know.

EDIT: Also, if there is a benchmark that includes both these cards for comparison, could someone link that as well?

Me and you are in a very similar position. Basically, i'm buying the 7600GS (same card and company as yours). However, my friend owns the 6800. Just so you know, the 6800 can run all of the current games out right now and i personally believe that the 7600 is better.

Since both of those cards use AGP, I'm assuming you need an AGP card lol. The 7600GS was, last time I checked, the best you could get for AGP. But now I see they make a 7800GS. That would be out of your price range though. There's also something like this, but I would go for the 7600. Another option might be the card in my sig, the X800XT All-In-Wonder. It's pretty nice. But bottomline, AGP is becoming extinct. This just reminded me that I really have to upgrade soon. Hope that helped.

Ya, I am trying to prolong the life of my system as I can stilll pretty much play any game out. I am gonna try and wait another year before making the jump to PCI-E if possible and then just get a whole new rig.

Thanks for the responses, I think I am going to go wtih the 7600GS.
