Smaller fan better than bigger fan.

Ok I just had a few problems with my current fans the 3 pin socket ones so i went and got the fans with the HDD type power socket.

But this is buggin me. The bigger older fan was perfect but made temps go to 50 - 67C but with the smaller one its stable by 40 - 43C

This is wierd.

Maybe the smaller fan is just a good quality fan, and the big one was of bad quality.

speed and flow matter, also if they are installed backwards that would matter too...

thats why I like the AC fans (no way to mess up)

Thanks. So the CPU fan is installed the push air into the proccessor. Thats ok then?

Yes the fan blows at the cpu.

yeah, it draws air in and across the fins then out the sides. it's more efficient than the other way around mainly because the inner edges of the fan are obstructed by the fins i guess.
