CD-ROM will read but, not burn?

My cd burner will only read cd's for some reason. Every time I try to burn one it says please insert a blank disc and try again. But, the disc's are good. I put them in my laptop and they burn fine. I"ve put in a new burner and have the same result. Any ideas?

It may be that the CD burn speed isn't compatible with your CD-R.

Have you tried other media brands?

It's compatible. I've burned 100's maybe 1000's of CD's with the same program same CD's. It just stopped working last week. I burned some CD's and they looked like they burned. Now I'm coming to find out they were all blank. So, Roxio said they completed but it didn't burn anything onto them. I use Roxio and Windows Media Player to burn. They both give me the same error message now.

Have you reinstalled Roxio? Have you tried updating your Burner's driver?

Tried updating the driver. Reinstalling Roxio again as we speak.

Reinstalled Roxio twice. It's working now. Something with Roxio must have caused it.
