Okay, I feel REALLY stupid, but I cannot seem to get memtest86 to work, what exactly do you do with it?

Put the cd/diskette (whichever you've made) into the appropriate drive and restart your pc. Memtest is bootable so it's possible your cd rom or floppy may not be setup to boot before your hard drive. If this is the case, change boot options in your bios.

So it literally boots before windows opens?
