What program do you open these in? As I just got a BSOD and it made one of these files which I would like to know what caused the BSOD.

I tried that already. The problem is, it is very hard to read something that flashes up and closes so quickly. :(
 
lol, i wouldnt go by the dmp file really. i find it best to go by the stop number you get on the blue screen.

example :

STOP: 0xc0000007

and also the system event viewer helps alot if you can figure out the time the BSOD accured and get the Event ID that caused it and go to

http://eventid.net/

is usefull sometimes
 
if you got to www.google.com\microsoft and search 0x1000008e and sort through the garbage i believe youll see what i did and most people say faulty ram. some say it could be related to norton antivirus and to update it if you have it installed. stupid microsoft doesnt even have it listed with a bug check, only with a process related to sound blaster on windows 2000 system. some help they are.
