Upgrade a 233mmx Satellite..........

Why?? Cause I want to try screwing around with a Linuix, and don't want to screw with my main systems.

So anyway, have my old Satellite 320CDS, works great, but has a 233mmx. PII chips are dirt cheap on ebay, so WHY not try to bump it up??

As Toshibas secretive bout their manuals, not even sure of the exact specs, but I think mmc form??

So can anyone help with a suggestion on a chip, ad I assume a bios upgrade might be nessesary......

Because if you don't know much about laptop hardware, you could render yours completely useless.

Thanks Macdude, Space isn't too much of an issue, it's A 4G HD. Was just thinking if it was easy, I'd bump up the processor....

I've only used Linuix a handful of times, so don't know what to expect for preformance, but it runs 98Se just fine.
