RAM question

lately i've seen tons of ram running at like PC-4000, does a mobo have to support this (cuz i can't find any) or will it run that fast on its own?

Yes, there are mobos that utilizes 500mhz or more busspeed; pretty much all the athlon 64 mobos and some P4-800fsb-with-HT mobos.

Btw, some high fsb processor and mobos can still take PC3200, it just won't run at it's best, thats all.

its also good for overclocking. if you have a 800fsb p4 and you overclock it to say 900 fsb your ram would have to be at 450 to match it. if you have a higher frequency ram stick to begin with you wont have to overclock your ram itll all ready run at that speed.
