Its simple i need a very cheap Pci Express x16 some what reliable video card to do basic things such as internet surfing. A decent video card that can take advantage of the 64-bit capabilities. It has to be around $30 or so. Its just to hold me over until i buy my 7900gt in the future.

I have a 64-bit System,
Antec LifeStyle SONATA II Piano Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450Watt SmartPower 2.0
Western Digital Caviar 80GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
1 Gig Corsiar pc3200 ram
ASUS A8N-E Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice

I was wondering if this card would be good enough for my simple needs. No video games will be played with this. I just want it to take advantage of the x16 slot but do nothing more than that. Please recomend one to me if you have a better choice for me.

NOTE: Whats with the onboard memory what does that mean, i only see that on lower end vid cards.

Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

if ur not playin games then ya that will do. But if ur not playing games why buy a 7900?

On board mem is wht it has on the card, most high end cards have it but dont say tht they do. Its because the low end cards support more, but the card only has say half of what they support onboard

you can play light games on them, he probably just wants somthing to hold him over until he can afford a 7900

All GFX cards have on-board, some GFX cards use your ram memory which is a waist of money becuase it brings down performance.those are mostly in AGP or PCI-E

Like that card it has 64mb of ram on the actual card then it get the rest of the 256mb from your ram.It works the kinda like on-board GFX's.
