dll file

i just loaded win messenger new ver on win 98 dll file comes up msvcr80.dll how do i slove this problem?

yes and im getting a recovery cd to fix my boot problem on this computer i tried system recovery it said wait and it waits forever i tried to boot in cd rom first i cant even command prompt it scrolls to a bunch of partition system 32 but stops doesnt go to next screen
