Direct X problem with games

Ok im trying to install NFSMW and i get this error i reinstalled direct x ALOT and same thing here is the pic

just tell windows that the current version installed is a
lower version.

For 9.0c I have a version number of 4.09.0000.0904
Change it to 4.08.0000.0904 and windows (and direct X installers) will believe you
have directX 8 installed.

Ok i did that, then rebooted and i still cant install NFSMW says same thing..... i got 3 diff types of NFSMW, downloaded 2 and got the cd version =/
