USB2.0 trouble

Why won't my onboard USB ports perform at USB2.0 speeds?Everytime a connect a USB device a balloon pops up saying this device can perform faster and that i have no Hi-Speed USB controllers installed. However in the device manager i can see a "PCI Class USB 2.0 Enhaced Host Controller" along with a "Standard OpenHCD USB Host Contoller". I have windows xp SP2 installelled along with the latest BIOS version and chipset drivers

check that usb2.0 is enabled in the bios

Thanx for replying, ya i checked the BIOS and it was enabled, well the only option is to enable USB Host Controller so i assume thats it. Theres no options for USB 2.0

what kind (model) of motherboard and or type and model of computer? have you installed latest usb drivers?

I have a MSI K8N Neo4-F nForce4 Ultra. I have the latest BIOS version and chipset drivers, dont know about usb drivers i cant find them on the MSI website. I asked MSI tech support about 4 days ago but so far no reply and now their website seems to be down, im guessing it might have something to do with the blackouts in california.
