Today when I start my computer Lavasoft Adwatch Pro SE starts going nuts finding a huge host of registry changes - of course I haven't installed anything or done anything to expect any kind of change to the registry.Problem now is my computer is HALF dead - that it is it won't run any files with normal extensions such as exe or com ( like regedit, cmd, sfc,command) or anything I would normally run to see what the issue is. Also almost all of the icons have gone blank and don't work.what is incredibly odd is what DOES work - like IE (I am typing this on the screwed up machine) and network connectivity (at least I have been able to save off all my files)>I try system restore but problem is it won't run system restore since system restore is an exe file.
